Why is "Lutheran" in our name and what does it mean?

First and foremost, we are a Christian Church. This means we follow Jesus Christ, place our faith in Him alone for the forgiveness of our sins, and make Him the Lord of our lives.

We believe that the Bible is much more than a rule book that tells us how we are to live our lives. In fact, it alone is God’s Word to humanity, and its main message is that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was sent by Him to save us from the punishment for our offenses against God.

The Birth of the Lutheran Church...

Like others in the 16th century, Martin Luther became frustrated that the Church of his day had strayed from the truth of God's Word and what it actually teaches about Jesus.

As a result of his efforts to reform the Roman Catholic Church, many others agreed with his conclusions. While it was never Martin Luther's intent to start a new church, over time those who agreed with his understanding of the Bible were called "Lutherans" and the "Lutheran Church" was born. It became one of the very first of the Protestant Churches coming out of the period known as The Reformation.

Lutherans believe that the Bible is much more than a rule book that tells us how we are to live our lives. In fact, it is God’s Word and its main message is that Jesus Christ saved us from eternal death.

Christian Preschool of the Arts

Our excellent preschool is one of our ministries. We offer an excellent student/teacher ration in a warm home-like environment.

Our staff is committed to nurturing each child with Christian love while helping them learn, grow, and develop into students ready for Kindergarten.

Teaching Bible stories and Christian values to our students is a core component of our curriculum, along with plenty of fun and recreation.

We accept children ages 2 to 5 years old, and offer discounts for military and siblings.
